Malta 2 Euro Coins have been issued since 2008, four years following the accession to the EU Zone. Malta's first commemorative 2 euro coin was first issued in 2009 followed by 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and now also in 2018.
